Which one fits?

Answer four questions and the chooser points you to a class. It's a starting point, not a ruling. Your mail house or Business Mail Entry Unit can confirm.

How the prices work

USPS charges less the more work you do for it. Sorting mail by ZIP Code or carrier route, adding barcodes and dropping it closer to the delivery point each lower the price. That's why the same letter can cost $0.82 with a stamp or $0.255 as a saturation mailing.

The trade-offs are minimum quantities, annual fees, a permit and more preparation. Most businesses that mail in bulk pay a mail house to handle that part.
